What a strange weekend this is turning out to be.

Yesterday was the Netscape 6 release party, and I won't say much about that other than the fact that it's a double-edged sword bonding with your coworkers over a few bottles of wine. I ended up learning a lot about my female coworkers, and remembering why I liked them so much... And making a fool of myself to my boss, which was *bad*.

The scariest part is I'm going out with my boss and my very gay coworker / best friend, Cameron, tonight.

Let's hope I don't make a repeat performance...

"What are you, stupid?!"

I love Crazy Taxi. I'm getting blisters on my thumbs from playing it so much. I don't know why people think it's repetitive... I'm doing okay for myself, but there's a ton I haven't learned or done yet. My roommate's better at it than I am. The soundtrack of Bad Religion and The Offspring can't be beat, either. Definite driving music.

"I learned how to drive the streets of San Francisco from playing Crazy Taxi!" That'd go over well with a peace officer, now wouldn't it?

My favorite cabbie is Gena. Sexy redhead with attitude - "Hurry up and get in, or I'll *leave*." Sounds like me on a good day....

(The last word from my roommate is, "A `Class A` license? Blah, I can do better!")

I rearranged the living room, and set up my receiver/amp and surround sound speakers. (Although only the front channels are hooked up right now.) The other thing the Dreamcast is useful for is playing CD's. Now if it just played DVD's... But that's what I'll be buying a PS2 for! I love being a geek, no dependents. ;)

I haven't blogged in awhile, I know. Jon and I split up for awhile, though I sincerely hope it's only temporary, and it's looking like we might try and work things out soon. Bottom line is, self-esteem problems only end up hurting you even more in the long run.

And as far as the election is concerned - people in Palm Springs County are not idiots like everyone seems to think. If anyone's actually seen the ballots, they were misprinted with multiple arrows pointing at single punch-holes. Punch-holes are a horrible method for ballots anyway. If Bush ends up winning it, I might just move back to Canada.
Seriously, though, I found out from digging on some Canadian consulate webpages that if I get my US citizenship, I won't be giving up my Canadian citizenship. I'd have to go to Canada and sign some forms in front of Canadian officials to give up my citizenship there, and I'm not about to do *that*. Jon asked me why I bother, since I won't be moving back anytime soon. I at least want the option of moving back to Canada, even if I possibly never will. I need to get paperwork from the Canadian consulate in LA, like my birth certificate, etc. I should also register with them - apparently they like to keep track of Canadians living abroad. Protecting their own, and whatnot. Or else they're being Big Brother, but I doubt it. ;)
