I'm so proud of myself.
I slapped together a webcam page today after buying a Logitech QuickCam Pro at Fry's yesterday. (In addition to two movies, two games, and an Apple Pro mouse.)

Courtney turns out to be a wonderful, caring human being. We've decided we're long-lost sisters, we have so much in common. She's in general a really great (and yummy) sort of person, and I really look forward to spending time with her. :) She and I spent Thanksgiving together and it was one of the nicer Thanksgivings I've spent in several years, even if we did go to Denny's.

I'm still making progress with Jon. I think there's still improvements that will likely need to be made, but it's really going better than it has in ages. I'm looking forward to things getting even better.

Great.
I was supposed to borrow Gilbert's car, take him to the airport, and then take the car for the weekend until he came back. Now I'm horribly sick and don't even want to be around myself, much less drive someone else's non-power-steering stickshift car. I'm still paranoid about driving in general, ugh.

I've been talking to Courtney (unfortunately of the Jennicam debacle fame) a lot lately. It turns out she's working at Netscape as well, and she's an absolute sweetheart. I think we're going to be good friends, and I'm really excited about it. She lives maybe a mile away from me, so hopefully I'll have someone to do things (like hit up the new exercise facility in Bldg 22) with.

I've been seeing Jon again, some, too. He says he likes "rediscovering" me now that I'm not broken and starving for human contact. We've so far been having a really good time, going out to see movies, out to the nickel arcade, what have you. I remember all the reasons I like being around him. (Yes, Jon, you're smart -yes you are- and sweet and funny and warm-hearted, and yes, a really good lay. There you have it.) I really hope things continue to improve, and so far they appear as though they will. Either way, I'm having a wonderful time.

I have all sorts of philosophic ramblings, but I shall have to save those for when I'm not feverish, and besides, Courtney's coming over. :)
